Question by HalB: I can’t get the vixia hf200A to select “camera” mode. it will only do “movie”, “dual”, and “auto” modes when?
… when the selecter dial on the right side has been moved all the way counterclockwise. It has been performing perfectly since i purchased it two years ago, but recently i can’t get it to do Camera Only mode. Thanks!
Merely pushing the photo button on top does not put the camera in “camera” mode. It enables one to take photos, but does not enable the camera to provide the adjustments or custom manual adjustments that are available under the usual “camera” mode.

when taking a photo, you use the shutter release button on the Top of the camera, not the red thumb switch on the grip.
